अथान्तरिक्षे वागासीत्‌ तां च शुश्राव जाजलि: । धर्मेण न समस्त्वं वै तुलाधारस्य जाजले

Transliteration

athāntarikṣe vāg āsīt tāṃ ca śuśrāva jājaliḥ | dharmeṇa na samas tvaṃ vai tulādhārasya jājale ||

Translation

Alors une voix s’éleva dans le ciel, et Jājali l’entendit : « Ô Jājali, en matière de dharma tu n’es pas l’égal de Tulādhāra. À Kāśī demeure le marchand Tulādhāra, d’un grand savoir. Ô le meilleur des brāhmaṇas, même ce Tulādhāra ne saurait parler comme tu parles. » Ainsi Jājali entendit la proclamation céleste, qui brisa son assurance.
