चिरकारि-उपाख्यानम् / The Exemplum of Cirakārī: Deliberation Before Irreversible Action
सत्यस्य वचन साधु न सत्याद् विद्यते परम् सत्येन विधुृतं सर्व सर्व सत्ये प्रतेछ्ठितम्
bhīṣma uvāca | satyasya vacanaṃ sādhu na satyād vidyate param | satyena vidhṛtaṃ sarvaṃ sarvaṃ satye pratiṣṭhitam ||
Bhīṣma dit : Dire la vérité est un acte noble ; rien n’est plus élevé que la vérité. Par la vérité, toutes choses sont soutenues, et dans la vérité tout trouve un fondement inébranlable. Dans cet enseignement sur le dharma, Bhīṣma montre que la véracité n’est pas seulement une vertu personnelle, mais le principe qui porte l’ordre moral du monde.
