अधर्मो नास्ति ते मृत्यो संयच्छेमा: प्रजा: शुभे | मया हाक्त मृषा भद्रे भविता नेह किंचन
adharmo nāsti te mṛtyo saṁyacchemāḥ prajāḥ śubhe | mayā hy uktaṁ mṛṣā bhadre bhavitā neha kiṁcana ||
Bhīṣma dit : «Ô Mort, aucune injustice ne s’attachera à toi. Ô bienheureuse, retiens (ou contiens) ces créatures. Ô douce, rien de ce que j’ai prononcé ici ne pourra jamais se révéler mensonge.»
