तामधर्मभयादू भीतां पुनरेव प्रयाचतीम् । तदाब्रवीद् देवदेवो निगृहोदं वचस्तत:,अधर्मके भयसे डरकर पुनः कृपाकी भीख माँगती हुई मृत्युको रोककर देवाधिदेव ब्रह्माने उससे यह बात कही--
tām adharmabhayād bhītāṃ punar eva prayācatīm | tadābravīd devadevo nigṛhya idaṃ vacas tataḥ ||
Alors, la voyant supplier de nouveau, saisie de crainte devant l’adharma, le Dieu des dieux la retint (la Mort) et prononça ces paroles :
