भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

स्वभावो हि विनाशाय मोहकर्म मनोभव: । निरुक्तमेतयोरेतत्‌ स्‍्वभावपरिभावयो:

svabhāvo hi vināśāya mohakarma manobhavaḥ | niruktam etayor etat svabhāva-paribhāvayoḥ ||

Vyāsa dit : «La doctrine de la “seule nature” (svabhāva) incline à la ruine ; c’est une conduite née de l’illusion, issue du mental. Voilà ce qui a été dit de ces deux notions—svabhāva et paribhāva. Maintenant, écoute l’explication plus approfondie de leur véritable portée.»
