Yoga-kṛtya (योककृत्य) — Vyāsa on Sense-Restraint, Obstacles, and Brahman-Realization
त्रेतायां तु समस्ता ये प्रादुरासन् महाबला: । संयन्तार: स्थावराणां जड़मानां च सर्वश:,त्रेतायुगमें जो महाबली नरेश प्रकट हुए थे, वे सब-के-सब समस्त चराचर प्राणियोंके नियन्ता थे
tretāyāṃ tu samastā ye prādurāsan mahābalāḥ | saṃyantāraḥ sthāvarāṇāṃ jaḍamānāṃ ca sarvaśaḥ ||
Vyāsa dit : Dans l’âge de Tretā, tous les souverains puissants qui parurent furent, en toute chose, les régulateurs et les gouvernants de tous les êtres—des immobiles comme des esprits obtus—maintenant l’ordre sur l’ensemble du vivant.
