कालनिर्णयः, युगधर्मवर्णनम्, सृष्टिक्रमश्च
Time-Reckoning, Yuga-Dharma, and the Sequence of Creation
द्वादशानां तु भवतामादित्यानां महात्मनाम् | तेजांस्येकेन सर्वेषां देवराज धृतानि मे,देवराज! तुमलोग जो बारह महात्मा आदित्य कहलाते हो, तुम सब लोगोंके तेज मैंने अकेले धारण कर रखे थे
dvādaśānāṁ tu bhavatām ādityānāṁ mahātmanām | tejāṁsy ekena sarveṣāṁ devarāja dhṛtāni me ||
Śakra (Indra) dit : «Ô Devarāja, vous êtes les douze Ādityas au grand esprit ; et pourtant, moi seul avais porté en moi les splendeurs de vous tous.» Dans son contexte, cette parole souligne qu’un pouvoir collectif peut se concentrer en un seul souverain, ce qui signifie à la fois le fardeau de la garde et la responsabilité morale de manier cette lumière sans orgueil ni détournement.
