गान्धर्व नारदो वेद भरद्वाजो धर्नुग्रहम्‌ । देवर्षिचरितं गार्ग्य: कृष्णात्रेयश्विकित्सितम्‌,नारदजीको गान्धर्व वेदका, भरद्वाजको धरनुर्वेदका, महर्षि गार्ग्यको देवर्षियोंके चरित्रका तथा कृष्णात्रेयको चिकित्साशास्त्रका ज्ञान हुआ

gāndharvaṃ nārado veda bharadvājo dhanur-graham | devarṣi-caritaṃ gārgyaḥ kṛṣṇātreyaś cikitsitam ||

Bhīṣma dit : Nārada maîtrisa le savoir gandharva (musique et arts célestes) ; Bharadvāja maîtrisa le Dhanurveda, la science de l’arc ; le sage Gārgya connaissait les hauts faits et les traditions des devarṣi ; et Kṛṣṇa Ātreya maîtrisa la science médicale.
