कपोती-विलापः स्वर्गसंयोगश्च

The Dove’s Lament and Celestial Reunion

पक्षिणो वर्षवेगेन हता लीनास्तदा भवन्‌ । मृगसिंहवराहाश्व स्थलम॒श्रित्य शेरते

pakṣiṇo varṣavegena hatā līnāstadā bhavan | mṛgasiṁhavarāhāśva sthalam āśritya śerate ||

Bhīṣma dit : Sous la poussée de la pluie déchaînée, les oiseaux furent frappés, réduits au silence, et se cachèrent. Cerfs, lions, sangliers et chevaux, cherchant refuge sur les hauteurs, s’y couchèrent—chacun en quête de sûreté lorsque la violence de la nature submerge tout.
