Draupadī’s Exhortation on Rājadharma and Daṇḍa (द्रौपद्याः राजधर्मोपदेशः)
भेषजै: स चिकित्स: स्याद् य उन्मार्गेण गच्छति । जो मूर्ख इस प्रकारका काम करता है
bheṣajaiḥ sa cikitsaḥ syād ya unmārgeṇa gacchati |
Vaiśampāyana dit : Celui qui s’est égaré sur une voie mauvaise doit être soigné par des remèdes, comme on soigne un homme dont l’esprit s’est dérangé. La leçon morale est que la conduite égarée, née de l’illusion, ne mène pas au bien ; il faut donc redresser un tel homme par des moyens correctifs appropriés, au lieu de le laisser persévérer dans l’erreur.
