Apaddharma Determination: Dialogue of Viśvāmitra and the Śvapaca
'सौम्य चुप रहो, तुम्हें जल्दी नहीं करनी चाहिये, घबरानेकी कोई आवश्यकता नहीं है। मैं समयको खूब पहचानता हूँ, ठीक अवसर आनेपर मैं कभी नहीं चूकूँगा ।।
Saumya, cupa raho; tumheṃ jaldī nahīṃ karanī cāhiye, ghabarāne kī koī āvaśyakatā nahīṃ hai. Ahaṃ samayaṃ khūba pahacānatā hūṃ; ṭhīk avasara āne par maiṃ kabhī nahīṃ cūkūṅgā. Akāle kṛtyam ārabdhaṃ kartuḥ nārthāya kalpate; tad eva kāle ārabdhaṃ mahate ’rthāya kalpate.
Bhishma dit : «Doux ami, tais-toi ; n’agis pas dans la hâte — il n’y a pas lieu de t’alarmer. Je connais bien le temps ; lorsque l’instant juste viendra, je ne le manquerai pas. Une tâche commencée hors de saison n’apporte aucun profit à celui qui l’entreprend ; mais la même tâche, commencée au moment convenable, devient le moyen d’un grand accomplissement.»
