अर्थयुकत्या हि जायन्ते पिता माता सुतस्तथा
arthayuktyā hi jāyante pitā mātā sutastathā
Bhīṣma dit : « En vérité, c’est par la logique du but et de l’utilité que prennent forme les rôles de père, de mère, et de même celui du fils—ce qui signifie que ces liens ne doivent pas être compris seulement par la naissance, mais par les devoirs et les fins pleines de sens qu’ils sont destinés à accomplir. »
