Āśā-prabhava (आशाप्रभव) — On the Rise and Power of Hope/Expectation

प्रह्माद उवाच नासूयामि द्विजान् विप्र राजास्मीति कदाचन । काव्यानि वदतां तेषां संयच्छामि वहामि च
Prahlāda uvāca: nāsūyāmi dvijān vipra rājāsmīti kadācana | kāvyāni vadatāṁ teṣāṁ saṁyacchāmi vahāmi ca ||
Prahlāda dit : « Ô le meilleur des brāhmaṇas, jamais je ne dénigre les deux-fois-nés par l’orgueil de dire : “Je suis roi.” Au contraire, lorsqu’ils donnent des conseils sur l’art de gouverner et la conduite juste, je me maîtrise, j’écoute avec discipline et je porte leurs ordres sur ma tête, les recevant avec révérence. »
