गान्धारीसहितकश्नैव कां गतिं प्रतिपत्स्यति । “पुत्रों और पौत्रोंकी बिलखती हुई बहुओंके साथ मेरे बूढ़े पिता राजा धृतराष्ट्र माता गान्धारीसहित किस अवस्थाको पहुँच जायँगे?
gāndhārī-sahitakaś caiva kāṃ gatiṃ pratipatsyati |
Sañjaya dit : «Et, avec Gāndhārī, à quel état, à quelle fin parviendra-t-il ?» Après la catastrophe de Kurukṣetra, cette question désigne l’après-guerre moral et existentiel : que deviendront le vieux Dhṛtarāṣṭra et sa reine, lorsque leur lignée est brisée et que le palais n’est plus qu’un lieu de deuil ?
