उनका बल और वेग महान् था। वे युद्धप्रेमी महा-पार्षदयगण कुमारका अभिषेक देखकर बड़े प्रसन्न हुए ।। घण्टाजालपिनद्धाज्ा ननृतुस्ते महौजस: । एते चान्ये च बहवो महापारिषदा नृप
ghaṇṭājāla-pinaddhājā nanṛtus te mahaujasaḥ | ete cānye ca bahavo mahāpāriṣadā nṛpa ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Ces guerriers d’une grande puissance, dont les étendards étaient ornés de réseaux de clochettes, dansèrent de joie. Ô roi, eux — avec bien d’autres membres éminents de l’assemblée royale — furent comblés en voyant la consécration du prince ; car sa force et sa vitesse étaient renommées, et leurs cœurs étaient tournés vers la guerre.
