गोत्रनामभिरन्योन्यमाक्रन्दन्त ततो जना: । हाहाकारं च कुर्वाणा: पृथिव्यां शेरते परे

Transliteration

gotranāmabhir anyonyam ākrandanta tato janāḥ | hāhākāraṃ ca kurvāṇāḥ pṛthivyāṃ śerate pare ||

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Alors les gens s’interpellèrent, s’appelant par leurs noms de clan et de famille. Poussant un hurlement funeste — « Hélas ! Hélas ! » — d’autres gisaient épars sur la terre, accablés de terreur et de chagrin après le carnage de la nuit.
