Adhyāya 45 — Duryodhana’s Distress, Śakuni’s Counsel, and the Summons for Dyūta
कर्मणैतेन राजेन्द्र धर्मश्न सुमहान् कृत: । आपूृच्छामो नरव्यात्र सर्वकामै: सुपूजिता:
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
karmaṇaitena rājendra dharmajña sumahān kṛtaḥ |
āpṛcchāmo naravyāghra sarvakāmaiḥ supūjitāḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Ô le meilleur des rois, ô connaisseur du dharma, par cet acte même tu as accompli une œuvre véritablement grandiose. Ô tigre parmi les hommes, après nous avoir comblés de tout ce que nous pouvions désirer et nous avoir témoigné un respect hors du commun, nous te demandons à présent la permission de nous retirer.»
