अर्जुनस्य दिग्विजयारम्भः — Arjuna Initiates the Northern Campaign and Secures Bhagadattta’s Tribute
प्रकर्षणाकर्षणा भ्यामनुकर्षविकर्षणै: । आचर्कर्षतुरन्योन्यं जानुभिश्वावजघ्नतु:,वे एक-दूसरेको पीछे ढकेलते और आगे खींचते थे। बार-बार खींचतान और छीना- झपटी करते थे। दोनोंने अपने प्रहारोंसे एक-दूसरेके शरीरमें खरौंच एवं घाव पैदा कर दिये और दोनों दोनोंको पटककर घुटनोंसे मारने तथा रगड़ने लगे
prakarṣaṇākarṣaṇābhyām anukarṣavikarṣaṇaiḥ | ācarakarṣatur anyonyaṃ jānubhiś cāvajaghnatuḥ ||
À coups de poussées et de tractions furieuses—se traînant et se tordant l’un l’autre sans relâche—ils s’empoignèrent dans un corps à corps serré. Par des frappes répétées, chacun infligea à l’autre écorchures et blessures; puis, après s’être jetés à terre tour à tour, ils le frappaient et l’écrasaient du genou, entraînés par la brûlure de la rivalité plutôt que par la retenue.
