anena cāsya kṣuraneminādya saṃchindhi mūrdhānam areḥ prasahā
Sañjaya dit : «Avec cette arme au tranchant de rasoir, tranche sur-le-champ la tête de cet ennemi : terrasse-le et fais-le sans hésitation.»
संजय उवाच
The verse reflects the battlefield ethic of decisive action in a dharma-yuddha context: when combat is joined, hesitation can endanger one’s side, so the warrior is urged to act swiftly and effectively against an enemy.
Sañjaya narrates an urgent instruction in the midst of combat, urging that the opponent’s head be severed immediately with a sharp-edged weapon—an image of the ferocity and immediacy of the Karṇa Parva battles.
