अध्याय ६० — कर्णस्य पाञ्चाल-सोमक-निग्रहः
Karna’s Suppression of the Panchala–Somaka Forces
तथैव तावका राजन् पाण्डवानामनीकिनीम् | अभ्यद्रवन्त त्वरिता जिघांसन्तो महारथा:,राजन्! इसी प्रकार आपके महारथी वीर भी पाण्डव-सेनाका वध करनेके लिये बड़े वेगसे उसकी ओर दौड़े
tathaiva tāvakā rājan pāṇḍavānām anīkinīm | abhyadravan tvaritā jighāṃsanto mahārathāḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : «De même, ô Roi, tes grands guerriers de char se ruèrent avec hâte vers l’armée des Pāṇḍava, résolus à massacrer—emportés par l’élan farouche du combat plutôt que par la retenue.»
