तत्र तत्रैव धावन्त: समदृश्यन्त भारत । भरतनन्दन! उनके रथका सारथि धराशायी हो चुका था
tatra tatraiva dhāvantaḥ samadṛśyanta bhārata |
Sañjaya dit : «Ô Bhārata, sur ce même champ de bataille, on les voyait se ruer çà et là.» Quand l’aurige fut abattu, les chevaux, sans guide, partirent au galop ; et, un instant, le dessein du guerrier fut englouti par le tumulte de la guerre.
संजय उवाच
Even in a righteous cause, outcomes depend on discipline and guidance; when the guiding agent (like a charioteer) is lost, force becomes directionless, illustrating how dharma in action requires control, competence, and steadiness amid conflict.
Sañjaya reports that combatants (or chariots) are seen rushing about in different directions on the battlefield, suggesting confusion and uncontrolled movement in the midst of the fighting.
