Arjuna’s resolve for Karṇa’s defeat

The verse highlights how anger (krodha) drives collective action into coercive violence: the warriors attempt to win not by discernment or dharma-guided skill, but by being ‘possessed by rage’ and relying on overwhelming numbers to restrain a single chariot. It implicitly contrasts disciplined valor with anger-fueled compulsion.
Sañjaya reports that large numbers of warriors rush in from all directions and try to seize and hold back Arjuna’s chariot—attempting to stop its movement and neutralize his momentum by surrounding and restraining it.
