Karṇa’s Pressure on the Pāñcālas; Duryodhana Disabled; Arjuna’s Counter-Advance
प्रदिशध्व॑ यथान्यायं केन हंसा: पताम्यहम् | आज मैं तुमलोगोंके देखते-देखते जब इतनी उड़ानें भरूँगा, उस समय मेरा बल तुम देखोगे। मैं इनमेंसे किसी भी उड़ानसे आकाशमें उड़ सकूँगा। हंसो! तुमलोग यथोचितरूपसे विचार करके बताओ कि “मैं किस उड़ानसे उद्/ूँ?”
pradiśadhvaṁ yathānyāyaṁ kena haṁsāḥ patāmy aham |
Le corbeau dit : «Décidez, selon ce qui est juste, par quel vol je dois m’élever. Aujourd’hui, sous vos propres yeux, je prendrai l’air encore et encore ; alors vous verrez ma force. Ô cygnes, après mûre réflexion, dites-moi : “Par lequel de ces vols dois-je monter vers les cieux ?”»
