Adhyāya 35 — Bhīmasena’s Counter-Encirclement and the Karṇa Engagement Escalation
सम्पादितं ब्रह्मविदा पूर्वमेव पुरोधसा । कृत्वा प्रदक्षिणं यत्नादुपस्थाय च भास्करम्
sampāditaṃ brahmavidā pūrvam eva purodhasā | kṛtvā pradakṣiṇaṃ yatnād upasthāya ca bhāskaram ||
Sañjaya dit : Après avoir fait préparer d’avance ce qui convenait par l’entremise du prêtre royal, connaisseur du savoir sacré, il accomplit ensuite, avec un soin appliqué, la pradakṣiṇā (circumambulation rituelle) et se tint en pie, dans une révérence attentive, devant le Soleil. La scène souligne combien le guerrier s’appuie sur un conseil consacré et sur une dévotion disciplinée avant de s’engager dans l’action périlleuse.
