कर्णेन युधिष्ठिरानीकविदारणम् / Karṇa’s Breach of Yudhiṣṭhira’s Battle-Line

ततः स भगवान्‌ देवो लोकस्त्रष्टा पितामह:,(एवमुक्त्वा जटाभारं संयम्य प्रपितामह: । परिधायाजिन गाढं संन्यस्य च कमण्डलुम्‌ ।। प्रतोदपाणिर्भगवानारुरोह रथ तदा ।) तदनन्तर लोकस्रष्टा भगवान्‌ पितामह देवने जो जगतके प्रपितामह हैं, उपर्युक्त बात कहकर अपनी जटाओंके बोझको बाँध लिया और मृगचर्मके वस्त्रको अच्छी तरह कसकर कमण्डलुको अलग रख दिया। तत्पश्चात्‌ वे भगवान्‌ ब्रह्मा हाथमें चाबुक लेकर तत्काल उस रथपर जा चढ़े

tataḥ sa bhagavān devo lokasraṣṭā pitāmahaḥ | (evam uktvā jaṭābhāraṃ saṃyamya prapitāmahaḥ | paridhāyājinaṃ gāḍhaṃ saṃnyasya ca kamaṇḍalum || pratodapāṇir bhagavān āruroha rathaṃ tadā |)

Alors cette divinité bienheureuse—l’Aïeul, créateur des mondes—ayant ainsi parlé, rassembla et noua la lourde masse de ses mèches emmêlées. Il serra fermement son vêtement de peau de daim et mit de côté son vase à eau ; puis le vénérable Prāpitāmaha, le fouet en main, monta aussitôt sur le char.
