द्रोणपर्व — अध्याय ९०: हार्दिक्यस्य पराक्रमः
Kṛtavarmā’s Stand against the Pāṇḍavas
नानावादित्रसंह्वादैः क्षेडितास्फोटिताकुलै: । सिंहनादै: समुत्क्तु्टै: समाधूतैर्महारथै:,नाना प्रकारके रणवाद्योंकी ध्वनिसे, गर्जन-तर्जन करनेसे, ताल ठोंकनेसे, सिंहनादसे और महारथियोंके ललकारनेसे जो शब्द होते थे, वे सब मिलकर भयंकर हो उठे और भीरु पुरुषोंके हृदयमें भय उत्पन्न करने लगे। उस समय अत्यन्त हर्षमें भरे हुए इन्द्रपुत्र अर्जुनने भगवान् श्रीकृष्णसे कहा
nānāvāditrasaṃhvādaiḥ kheḍitāsphoṭitākulaiḥ | siṃhanādaiḥ samutkṛṣṭaiḥ samādhūtair mahārathaiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Le champ de bataille enfla jusqu’à n’être plus qu’un seul rugissement terrifiant—né du vacarme de multiples instruments de guerre, des piétinements et des claquements de mains, des cris pareils au rugissement du lion, et des défis lancés par les grands guerriers de char. Ce tumulte mêlé devint effroyable, semant la peur dans le cœur des timorés. Alors Arjuna, fils d’Indra, rempli d’une exaltation ardente, s’adressa à Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
