सहस्रमिव सूर्याणां दीप्यमानं स्वतेजसा । शूलिनं जटिलं गौरं वल्कलाजिनवाससम्,वे अपने तेजसे सहस्रों सूर्योके समान प्रकाशित हो रहे थे। उनके हाथमें त्रिशूल, मस्तकपर जटा और श्रीअंगोंपर वल्कल एवं मृगचर्मके वस्त्र शोभा पा रहे थे। उनकी कान्ति गौरवर्णकी थी
sahasram iva sūryāṇāṃ dīpyamānaṃ svatejasā | śūlinaṃ jaṭilaṃ gauraṃ valkalājinavāsasam |
Sañjaya dit : Il flamboyait de sa propre radiance comme mille soleils. Armé du trident, aux cheveux en jata, de teint clair, vêtu d’écorce et de peau de daim, il apparaissait dans une splendeur austère, incarnation de la puissance ascétique.
