Description of War Standards

Determined effort aligned with a solemn purpose is portrayed as producing assured results: Sanjaya expresses confidence that wherever Arjuna directs his focused endeavor, victory will be certain. The verse also highlights the ethical weight of actions done openly—‘before the eyes’ of opponents—linking martial success with accountability and the fulfillment of a vowed duty.
Sanjaya reports that Arjuna will kill Jayadratha in full view of the Kauravas. He further tells the charioteer that whichever enemy Arjuna targets for death the next day, Arjuna will surely prevail there—foreshadowing the intense pursuit of Jayadratha and the confidence in Arjuna’s battlefield dominance.
