Description of War Standards
युक्तान् वाजिवरान् यत्त: कवची तिष्ठ दारुक । “दारुक! साथ ही उसमें छत्र लगाकर अग्नि और सूर्यके समान प्रकाशित होनेवाले तथा विश्वकर्माके बनाये हुए दिव्य सुवर्णमय जालोंसे विभूषित मेरे चारों श्रेष्ठ घोड़ों--बलाहक, मेघपुष्प, शैब्य तथा सुग्रीवको जोत लेना और स्वयं भी कवच धारण करके तैयार रहना
sañjaya uvāca | yuktān vājivarān yattaḥ kavacī tiṣṭha dāruka |
Sañjaya dit : «Dāruka, attelle sur-le-champ les chevaux d’élite et tiens-toi prêt, revêtu de ton armure.» Cet ordre fait entendre une préparation disciplinée au cœur de la guerre : agir vite sans témérité, protéger la vie par l’équipement requis, et entrer dans la bataille avec lucidité plutôt qu’avec précipitation.
