Duryodhana’s Armor and the Tactical Reassessment
श्वरः शिर: श्रोष्यसे तस्य सैन्धवस्य रणे हृतम् । समन्तपज्चकाद् बाहूं विशोका भव मा रुद:,तुम कल ही सुनोगी कि रणक्षेत्रमें जयद्रथका मस्तक काट लिया गया है और वह समन्तपंचक क्षेत्रसे बाहर जा गिरा है। अत: शोक त्याग दो और रोना बंद करो
śvaḥ śiraḥ śroṣyase tasya saindhavasya raṇe hṛtam | samantapañcakād bāhūṃ viśokā bhava mā rudaḥ ||
«Demain tu entendras que la tête de ce prince du Sindhu (Jayadratha) a été tranchée au combat et qu’elle est tombée au-delà du champ de Samantapañcaka. Aussi, rejette le chagrin ; ne pleure pas.»
