Even in war, action is portrayed as needing order and moral intention: the leader identified with dharma (Dharmaraja) is shown taking responsibility for arranging the army, implying that strategy and duty must be guided by a sense of right conduct and accountability.
Sanjaya reports to Dhritarashtra that the opposing force was drawn up in the Krauñca (Crane) formation, and that this battle-array was organized under the direction of Dharmaraja (Yudhishthira) as the armies prepare for engagement.
