त॑ वासवमिवायान्तं भूरिवर्ष शरौघधिणम् | राजंस्तावकसैन्यानां नोग्रं कश्चिदवारयत्,राजन! इसके बाद वे इन्द्रके समान बाण-समूहोंकी भारी वर्षा करते हुए जब आपकी सेनापर आक्रमण करने लगे, उस समय आपके सैनिकोंमेंसे कोई भी उन उमग्ररूपधारी अर्जुनको रोक न सका
taṁ vāsavam ivāyāntaṁ bhūrivarṣa-śaraugha-dhiṇam | rājan tāvaka-sainyānāṁ na ugraṁ kaścid avārayat ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ô Roi, lorsqu’il s’avança tel Vāsava (Indra), déversant une pluie serrée de volées de flèches et lançant l’assaut contre ton armée, pas un seul parmi tes soldats ne put arrêter l’impétueux Arjuna.»
