Transliteration

taṁ dṛṣṭvā pradrutair aśvair apakṛṣṭaṁ raṇājirāt

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Le voyant ainsi—traîné hors du champ de bataille par des chevaux lancés à pleine vitesse—les guerriers comprirent qu’on l’arrachait de force à l’arène même du combat. Cet instant rappelle combien vite la fortune tourne dans la guerre, et comment l’initiative d’un combattant peut être submergée par la violence des circonstances.
