मुहुर्महुरुदीर्यन्ते कम्पयन्त्यपि मामकान् । कौरव-सेनारूपी समुद्रमें यह कोलाहल अत्यन्त तीव्र वेगसे होने लगा है और बारंबार बढ़ता जा रहा है, जो मेरे सैनिकोंको कम्पित किये देता है
muhur muhur udīryante kampayanty api māmakān | kaurava-senā-rūpī samudre ayaṁ kolāhalaḥ atyanta-tīvra-vegena bhavitum ārabdhaḥ punaḥ punaḥ vardhamānaḥ, mama sainikān kampayati |
Yudhiṣṭhira dit : «Sans cesse ce vacarme s’élève, et il fait trembler jusqu’à mes propres troupes. Dans cet océan qu’est l’armée des Kaurava, le tumulte a commencé à déferler avec une violence extrême, enflant à répétition, et il ébranle le cœur de mes soldats.»
