nimeṣamātreṇa ca tajjyotir antaradhīyata | āsīt kilakilāśabdaḥ prahvaśanāṃ divaukasām ||
Sañjaya dit : En l’espace d’un clin d’œil, cette radiance disparut de la vue. Alors s’éleva un grand tumulte—les cris de joie des dieux, inclinés en signe de révérence.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights the idea that events in war are not merely human affairs: the sudden disappearance of a mysterious radiance and the reverent exultation of the gods suggest a moral-cosmic dimension, where dharma and adharma are witnessed and responded to by higher powers.
Sañjaya reports that a striking light seen in the scene disappears in an instant, after which the celestials—described as bowing in reverence—raise a loud, jubilant clamour, indicating amazement and approval at the extraordinary occurrence.
