धृष्टद्युम्नस्तथा राजन् गभस्तिभिरिवांशुमान् । बभौ प्रच्छादयन्नाशा: शरजालै: समन्तत:ः,राजन! अपने बाणोंके समूहसे सम्पूर्ण दिशाओंको सब ओरसे आच्छादित करते हुए धृष्टद्युम्न किरणोंद्वारा अंशुमाली सूर्यके समान प्रकाशित हो रहे थे

dhṛṣṭadyumnas tathā rājan gabhastibhir ivāṃśumān |
babhau pracchādayann āśāḥ śarajālaiḥ samantataḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô Roi, Dṛṣṭadyumna brillait tel le soleil éclatant de ses rayons, tandis qu’il couvrait de toutes parts les directions d’un épais réseau de flèches. L’image souligne la force écrasante d’une maîtrise martiale disciplinée : un pouvoir qui, porté par la résolution, peut dominer le champ de bataille et façonner le destin de multitudes.
