Shloka 34

तस्य तस्य विघाताय तत्‌ तद्धि कुरुतेडर्जुन: । परंतु विजयकी इच्छासे वे पार्थपर जिस-जिस अस्त्रका प्रयोग करते थे, उस-उसके विनाशके लिये अर्जुन वैसे ही अस्त्रोंका प्रयोग करते थे ।। ३३ ई ।। स वध्यमानेष्वस्त्रेषु दिव्येष्वपि यथाविधि

sañjaya uvāca | tasya tasya vighātāya tat taddhi kurute 'rjunaḥ | sadhyamāneṣv astreṣu divyeṣv api yathāvidhi |

Sañjaya dit : Pour parer chacune de ces attaques, Arjuna employa précisément le moyen de neutralisation correspondant. Chaque fois que des traits divins étaient lancés selon les rites prescrits, Arjuna—tendu vers la victoire—leur opposait des armes de même nature, détruisant chacun d’eux dès qu’il se manifestait. La scène met en lumière une maîtrise guerrière disciplinée : la puissance n’est pas contenue par la rage, mais par l’art, la retenue et la connaissance exacte des contre-mesures.
