यतमानास्तु पञ्चाला न शेकुः प्रतिवीक्षितुम् । उन सम्पूर्ण महारथियोंद्वारा सुरक्षित हुए द्रोणाचार्यकी ओर पांचाल-सैनिक प्रयत्न करनेपर भी आँख उठाकर देखतक न सके
yatamānās tu pañcālā na śekuḥ prativīkṣitum |
Sañjaya dit : Bien que les Pañcālas luttassent de toutes leurs forces, ils ne purent même pas lever les yeux pour regarder en arrière — tant ils furent accablés et contenus par l’anneau de grands guerriers de char, entièrement équipés, qui protégeait Droṇācārya.
