इति श्रीमहाभारते द्रोणपर्वणि घटोत्कचवधपर्वणि रात्रियुद्धे कर्णघटोत्कचयुद्धि पडज्चसप्तत्यधिकशततमो< ध्याय:,इस प्रकार श्रीमहाभारत द्रोणपर्वके अन्तर्गत घटोत्कचवधपर्वमें रात्रियुद्धके प्रयंगगें कर्ण और घटोत्कचका युद्धविषयक एक सौ पचहत्तरवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ

Transliteration

iti śrīmahābhārate droṇaparvaṇi ghaṭotkacavadhaparvaṇi rātriyuddhe karṇa-ghaṭotkacayuddhe pañcasaptatyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ |

Translation

Sañjaya dit : Ainsi, dans le Śrī Mahābhārata, au sein du Droṇa Parva, dans le sous-épisode relatif à la mise à mort de Ghaṭotkaca, dans le récit du combat nocturne, s’achève le cent soixante-quinzième chapitre, décrivant l’affrontement entre Karṇa et Ghaṭotkaca. Sur le plan éthique, le colophon souligne la sombre escalade de la guerre vers la lutte de nuit, où les retenues ordinaires s’affaiblissent et où la bataille tend vers des issues décisives, souvent impitoyables.
