तेषु राजसहस्रेषु तावकेषु परेषु च । एक एव ज्वलंस्तस्थौ वृषसेन: प्रतापवान्,आपके और शत्रुपक्षेके सहस्नों राजाओंके बीच एकमात्र प्रतापी वृषसेन ही अपने तेजसे प्रकाशित होता हुआ रणभूमिमें खड़ा था
teṣu rāja-sahasreṣu tāvakeṣu pareṣu ca | eka eva jvalan tasthau vṛṣasenaḥ pratāpavān ||
Sañjaya dit : Au milieu de ces milliers de rois—du côté des Kaurava comme de l’armée adverse—Vṛṣasena seul, héros de grande vaillance, se tenait sur le champ de bataille, flamboyant, rayonnant d’une splendeur guerrière.
