Nārāyaṇāstra-utpātaḥ — Aśvatthāman’s Rallying Roar after Droṇa’s Fall (द्रोणपर्व, अध्याय १६७)
सा हेमचित्रा महती पाण्डवेन प्रवेरिता । निर्भिद्य दक्षिणं बाहुं प्राविशद् धरणीतलम्,पाण्डुकुमार युधिष्ठिरकी चलायी हुई वह सुवर्ण-चित्रित विशाल शक्ति कृतवर्माकी दाहिनी भुजाको छेदकर धरतीमें समा गयी
sā hemacitrā mahatī pāṇḍavena preritā | nirbhidya dakṣiṇaṃ bāhuṃ prāviśad dharaṇītalam ||
Sañjaya dit : La grande lance, ornée de motifs d’or et lancée par le Pāṇḍava, perça le bras droit de Kṛtavarmā puis s’enfonça dans le sol.
