अलायुधस्य भीमवधसंकल्पः
Alāyudha’s Resolve to Confront Bhīma
तव क्रोधहत: पूर्व देवैरपि सुदुर्जय: । शरतल्पगत: शेते भीष्म: कुरुपितामह:,“जिनपर विजय पाना पहले देवताओंके लिये भी अत्यन्त कठिन था, वे कुरुकुलके पितामह भीष्म आपके क्रोधसे ही दग्ध होकर इस समय बाणशब्यापर सो रहे हैं
tava krodhahataḥ pūrvaṁ devair api sudurjayaḥ | śaratālpagataḥ śete bhīṣmaḥ kurupitāmahaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : «Bhīṣma, l’aïeul des Kuru—jadis si difficile à vaincre que même les dieux peinaient à le dompter—gît à présent sur un lit de flèches, terrassé par ta colère.»
