कण्ठसूत्रैरड्रदैश्व निष्कैरपि च सप्रभै: । अन्यैश्षाभरणैश्षित्रैर्भाति भारत मेदिनी
kaṇṭhasūtrair āḍhyaiś ca niṣkair api ca saprabhaiḥ | anyaiś cābharaṇaiś citrair bhāti bhārata medinī ||
Śrī Kṛṣṇa dit : «Ô Bhārata, la terre —ce champ de bataille— brille d’un éclat somptueux, parée de toutes parts de cordons de cou tombés, de riches niṣkas rayonnants, et de bien d’autres ornements variés. Même au cœur du carnage, le champ devient resplendissant à l’œil par ces emblèmes de rang et d’orgueil des guerriers, désormais laissés là, silencieux, révélant le prix et la vanité de la guerre.»
