द्रोणकर्णयोः निशि संप्रहारः — Night Engagement with Droṇa and Karṇa
एतद्धि पुरुषव्यात्र महदशभ्युद्यंतं मया । कार्य संरक्ष्यते चैष कुरुसेनामहारथै:,'पुरुषसिंह! मैंने यह बहुत बड़े कार्यके लिये उद्योग आरम्भ किया है। कौरव-सेनाके महारथी इस जयद्रथकी रक्षा कर रहे हैं
etaddhi puruṣavyātra mahad aśabhyudyantaṃ mayā | kāryaṃ saṃrakṣyate caiṣa kuru-senā-mahārathaiḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : «Ô tigre parmi les hommes, j’ai entrepris ceci comme une entreprise immense et redoutable. Et cet homme —Jayadratha— est gardé, dans cette même tâche, par les grands guerriers de char de l’armée des Kuru.»
