Adhyāya 141 — Night duels: Śaineya and Bhūriśravas; Droṇi and Ghaṭotkaca; Bhīma and Duryodhana

The verse highlights the social-ethical norm of honouring perceived excellence: even in wartime, public recognition by elders, peers, and bards reinforces ideals of valor and reputation, showing how dharma is also maintained through communal acknowledgment.
Sañjaya reports that the Kurus, along with the professional bards (Cāraṇas), offer praise and honour to the person being referred to, marking a moment of acclaim within the ongoing events of the Drona Parva.
