Droṇa Encircled at Night: Coalition Advance and Battlefield Omens (द्रोणपर्यावरणं रात्रियुद्धवर्णनम्)
महाराज! तब क्रोधमें भरे हुए पराक्रमी भीमसेनने सामने खड़ी हुई रथसेनापर बाणोंकी वर्षा आरम्भ कर दी ।। ते वध्यमाना: समरे तव पुत्रा महारथा: । भीम॑ भीमबला युद्धे योधयन्ति जयैषिण:,युद्धस्थलमें भयंकर बलशाली विजयाभिलाषी आपके महारथी पुत्र बाणोंकी मार खाकर भी समरांगणमें भीमसेनके साथ युद्ध करते रहे
sañjaya uvāca | mahārāja! tadā krodhabhareṇa parākramī bhīmaseno 'bhimukhīṃ sthitāṃ rathasenāṃ prati śaravarṣam ārabdhavān || te vadhyamānāḥ samare tava putrā mahārathāḥ | bhīmaṃ bhīmabalā yuddhe yodhayanti jayaiṣiṇaḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Ô roi, alors le puissant Bhīmasena, rempli de colère, se mit à faire pleuvoir des flèches sur la division de chars dressée devant lui. Bien qu’ils fussent frappés et abattus dans la mêlée, tes fils—grands guerriers de char, terribles de force et avides de victoire—continuèrent à combattre Bhīma sur le champ de bataille.
