यादृशं रक्षणे राज्ञ: कार्यमात्ययिकं हि नः । “अतः ट्रुपदनन्दन! मेरे लिये वहाँ जानेकी वैसी आवश्यकता नहीं है, जैसी यहाँ रहकर राजाकी रक्षा करनेकी है। यही हमलोगोंके लिये सबसे महान् कार्य है,ततः क्रुद्धो महाराज भीमसेन: पराक्रमी । अग्रतः स्यन्दनानीकं शरवर्षरवाकिरत्
Translation
«Ô fils de Drupada ! Pour moi, il n’est pas aussi nécessaire d’aller là-bas que de demeurer ici pour protéger le roi. C’est là notre tâche la plus haute.» Alors le grand roi Bhīmasena, vaillant et courroucé, du premier rang fit pleuvoir des flèches sur la troupe de chars, dans un fracas de traits semblable à l’averse.
