Duryodhana’s Incursion and the Tumult of Battle
prāptakālaṃ subalavan niścitaṃ bahudhā hi me | tatraiva pāṇḍaveyasya bhīmasenasya dhanvinaḥ
The verse highlights the ethical weight of decisive timing in action: when the critical moment arrives, a warrior’s resolve must be firm and purposeful, not wavering—especially in a dharmic struggle where hesitation can endanger many.
Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra his assessment that the moment has ripened for a decisive act, and that Bhīma—described as a powerful Pāṇḍava archer—is steadfastly determined regarding the immediate situation on the battlefield.
