Bhūriśravas’s Censure, Prāyopaveśa, and Sātyaki’s Beheading
आससाद रणे भोजं प्रतिमानं धनुष्मताम् । तदनन्तर सात्यकि विधिपूर्वक सजाये गये तेज घोड़ोंवाले रथके द्वारा रणभूमिमें धनुर्धरोंके आदर्शभूत कृतवर्माके पास जा पहुँचे
sañjaya uvāca | āsasāda raṇe bhojaṃ pratimānaṃ dhanuṣmatām | tadanantaraṃ sātyakiḥ vidhipūrvaka-sajjīkṛta-teja-ghoḍa-vāhana-rathena raṇabhūmau dhanuṣ-dharāṇām ādarśa-bhūtaṃ kṛtavarmāṇaṃ samupāgamat |
Sañjaya dit : Au cœur du combat, Sātyaki se porta sur Bhoja (Kṛtavarmā), l’étalon des archers. Aussitôt après, sur son char dûment préparé et attelé de chevaux rapides et puissants, Sātyaki rejoignit Kṛtavarmā sur le champ de bataille.
संजय उवाच
The verse highlights disciplined action in warfare: even amid violent conflict, a warrior proceeds with order and preparedness (vidhipūrvakam), suggesting that duty and conduct—how one fights—remain ethically significant.
Satyaki advances on the battlefield and reaches Kṛtavarmā (called Bhoja), who is praised as an exemplar among archers. The scene sets up a direct confrontation between notable warriors.
