भूरिश्रवसः गर्हा, प्रायोपवेशः, सात्यकिकृतशिरच्छेदः

राजानं सर्वलोकस्य सर्वलोकमहारथम् | शरैरभ्याहनद् गाढं ततो युद्धम भूत् तयो:,सब लोगोंके राजा और समस्त संसारके विख्यात महारथी दुर्योधनको उन्होंने अपने बाणोंद्वारा गहरी चोट पहुँचायी। फिर तो उन दोनोंमें भारी युद्ध छिड़ गया

rājānaṃ sarvalokasya sarvaloka-mahāratham |
śarair abhyāhanad gāḍhaṃ tato yuddham abhūt tayoḥ ||
Sañjaya dit : Il frappa durement, par des volées de flèches, le roi Duryodhana—seigneur des peuples et grand guerrier de char renommé dans le monde entier. Alors une bataille farouche éclata entre eux deux, où prouesse et royauté furent mises à l’épreuve sous les exigences implacables de la guerre.
